Andrea's Santa Fe Contemplation

Andrea reporting in Haiku

large_Santa_Fe_clouds.jpg

My anxiety
follows me to each new place
It's me, not travel

Take all your worries
Offer them up in prayer
While snow gently falls

Fear comes from wrong thoughts
Stealing peace from the present
While the leaves still drop

Don't fear the unknown
You wanted to feel alive
Embrace the living

People in each place
Unexpected connections
Can enhance your life

Brushing aside doubt
Rising to each occasion
It's the only choice

Notice where you are
Feel the earth under your feet
And breathe a deep breath

Trust all will be fine
Inhabit your life each day
Be kind and do good

Each day a new page
To learn, grow, explore, create
Experiences

Andrea,
that is so beautiful - and a little melancholy too. Sometimes freedom takes a little while to get used to.
Don't think that you must embrace it overnight. The journey of the mind has it's ups and downs, twists and turns, just like a roller coaster. Once you hop on board you don't know what is going to happen or how you are going to feel. It can be scary, it can make your stomach queasy but you just hang on and savor the sensations and experiences. These moments will not come again.
